Meaghan Chantrill

Greetings! My name is Meaghan Chantrill and I am thrilled to be back
for a second year teaching at Bert Ambrose as the Gr.2-3 Teacher.
A bit about me – I have a Bachelor of Science degree from the University
of Guelph and an Elementary Teaching Degree from Acadia University. My first year as a teacher, I taught at a special behavioural school for
boys in Ontario. I then went overseas and taught in Hong Kong and
Taiwan. My son was born in Taiwan but we missed our family so we
decided to return to Canada after two years. We moved to Quebec for
which we lived for the next 9 years. During that time, I was fortunate to
fill the role as Librarian at a small elementary school in rural Vermont.
We then moved to Aylmer, Quebec and lived there for two years while
my husband completed his Masters at Carleton University in Ottawa.
This is my third year living in Fort St. John. This past summer, we
soaked in the Liard Hot Springs and drove to Bella Coola which was a
harrowing adventure (the drive was on a dirt road along a cliff’s edge
with no barrier!) but it was worth seeing the beautiful coastal rain forest.
We only saw one grizzly bear though! I enjoy playing badminton,
volleyball and tennis and I love dogs and books of all kinds and sizes!

Meet more of our staff!
