Mrs. Lee works one day per week as our Social-Emotional Learning Teacher. She recently completed an activity called “Flip That Flop” with our primary students. This activity was about dealing with failure and making mistakes. Classes watched the YouTube video (seen below) and then shared different mistakes they have made. Students had to pick one mistake they have made (the flop), describe how they fixed the mistake (the flip) and what they learned from it. Classes from Kindergarten to Grade 3 participated in this activity. The Kindergartens and Grade Ones drew pictures and the other grades wrote a sentence on each page. Mrs. Willson and Mrs. Rice assisted with the making of an amazing display of this activity. We will move the bulletin board outside this week from 2:30-3:00 pm so parents are able to come and take a closer look at their child’s work.
