In anticipation of the landing of the Mars Perseverance Rover scheduled for February 18, 2021, students in Mrs. Barr’s and Mrs. London’s class have been completing weekly challenges provided by NASA. So far we have worked in small teams to:
Learn about Mars rovers and the jobs they do
Learn about the Mars environment
Plan a Mission to Mars with budget,

Jump Rope for Heart
Monday morning, we kicked off our Jump Rope for Heart campaign with cohort assemblies. Students were invited to the gym with their cohort classes to watch a short presentation about our upcoming JRFH event. Mrs. Barr introduced the Jump Rope for Heart event by showing a video from the Heart and Stroke Foundation that highlighted 3 benefits to participating in the program:
1.Hero Day
Hero Day was on January 22. A hero is a person who is admired or idealized for courage, outstanding achievements, or noble qualities.
Students were invited to dress up as their favourite hero for the day.
