Thank you to the Fort St. John Fire Department for joining us this morning for Fire Prevention and Burn Prevention Week. Lt. Stobbe, Firefighter Winn, and Firefighter Ockenden talked to the students about this year’s theme which is “Look-Listen-Learn”. Students were reminded of the importance of having a family escape plan – with two routes out of each room and we had a demonstration of “Stop, Drop, and Roll”. Mrs. Eldridge also donned the firefighting gear to help remind us that firefighters are everyday people who are here to help us if there is a fire. Our Grade 3 students spent extra time with our guests from the fire department and had the opportunity to practice fire safety drills.
