Students in Mrs. Tacey’s Grade 2 class participated in a Traditional Drum Teaching session with our Aboriginal Student Support Worker, Ms. Green. She spoke to the students about the Aboriginal Drum with respect to how the drum is made with prepared hide and shared the different purposes Aboriginal drums are used for.

Ms. Green also spoke about the different rules that apply with the use of the drum. Afterwards the students mad their own personal drum out of cardboard tubing and paper plates.
