Reading Survey

Hello,
Just an interesting little survey put out by Scholastic Canada about the reading attitudes and behaviours of Canadian families. There is some really good information located within this report so I would encourage you to read it.
Please note we will be holding a session for parents of Kindergarten and Grade 1 students following the Christmas Break – watch for more information about this session entitled “HELPING BEGINNING READERS AT HOME”.

The Kids & Family Reading Report™: Canadian Edition is a national survey, conducted in English and French, of children ages 6–17 and their parents, as well as parents of children ages 0–5, exploring their reading attitudes and behaviours around reading books for fun. This is the first time Scholastic has released a Canadian Edition of the report.
Kids who read independently at school are more likely to find reading important; enjoy reading; read more frequently;
