Bert Ambrose Elementary hosted a school community Terry Fox Run event on September 28th. We set our fundraising goal at $2000. The students were given the incentives of “Duct taping” Mrs. Watchel to the wall if we raised $1500, and giving Mrs. Fraser a “pie in the face” if we raised $2000. Our school succeeded in meeting both goals, raising a grand total of $2352. On October 15th we celebrated meeting our goal. Mrs. Watchel was taped to the wall with an excited student population looking on. Two students who have personal connections with cancer, Karsten Mayinger and Brooklyn Long, gave Mrs. Fraser a “pie in the face”. Thank you to everyone for supporting our Terry Fox event and congratulations on reaching our fundraising goal! We are already excited about next year’s event!
