Just a short note as we prepare for the last week of school prior to Spring Break … I trust everyone is looking forward to the break and an opportunity to enjoy the (hopefully) nicer weather and slow down the pace of life just a little!
There are several important things happening this week:
1. Report Cards and/or Points of Progress Reports will be coming home – Tuesday for most classes. Please schedule an appointment with your child’s teachers if you have any questions or concerns about the report or their behaviour or academic progress. Thank you.
2. Wednesday and Thursday are Early Dismissal Days. This means students will be dismissed one hour earlier than usual – at 1:45 pm. Please have arrangements in place so students are picked up promptly as this time is needed for teachers to schedule parent conferences. Thank you! If you are like me and a little scattered these days, you might want to consider putting a reminder on your phone … how did we function before all this new technology?
3. The Bert Ambrose Student Conference is taking place on Friday and students have signed up for various sessions. It was be a great day of learning new skills and having new experiences in multi-grade groupings. We have several guests as well as teachers leading sessions. Our day will start off with a Key-Note Presentation in the gym and then students will move to their first session. Parents are welcome to stop by and check out all of the wonderful activities. A huge thank you to our PAC for helping to sponsor this great day … what a fantastic way to transition to Spring Break! Parents/Guardians: please let the office know in advance if your child is going to be absent on Friday. This will help us with planning! Thank you!!
