Thanks to the overwhelming support for our Plan Canada sponsor child through last month’s “Hat Day for Fernanda”, we have been able to provide sponsorship coverage for the entire year and purchase several GIFTS OF HOPE. A special thank you to Mrs. Tacey’s class for their efforts in determining the best way to make our fundraising dollars go further. We have chosen to purchase gifts to support children in the area of nutrition and clean water and looked for items that were matched by corporate donations. This means our $239 has magically turned into $1553 providing 14 mango trees, 4 Endless Harvest packages (essentials for a garden including seeds, farming tools, and training in pest and farm management), and 7 wells to provide safe drinking water for schools.
