Together with School District 60, Fort St. John Friendship Centre, Fort St. John Child Development Centre and North Peace Community Resources Society we will be offering a gross motor development pilot project from February-May on a rotating schedule.

We are accepting registrations for September, 2012 Kindergarten.  Please bring in the child’s birth certificate and proof of residence (ie: current property assessment, current hydro bill) so we can make a copy of the documents.

Family Literacy Week 2012 is taking over the town! For our part, the Fort St. John Public Library will be holding three events:

Hello everyone!
I’m very excited to present this year’s Family Literacy Day celebration.
Since 1999, communities across Canada have annually recognized the importance of family literacy on January 27th. This year, Fort St. John will be celebrating Family Literacy Day with a week’s worth of exciting activities.

Bert Ambrose Elementary School is very proud of our teachers and support staff. We have an awesome Parent Advisory Council and a very supportive learning community! Everyone always wants the best for the students of Bert Ambrose.

Please check out the Library Club page to see pictures taken during our Christmas Story time!  Students in Kindergarten through Grade 2 have the opportunity to stay inside and listen to these stories during the lunch recess. 

Thursday’s story time continued in Mrs. McKinnon’s room. Maria and Maelynne shared a Christmas story with the Grade One students.

Students from the Library Club will be reading Christmas stories to primary students during the lunch recess. Thank you to Trinity and Brenna for reading to Mr. Eastwood’s class today!
