Thank you to Mrs. Barclay, Mrs. Barr, Miss Brekkas and our wonderful Gator for organizing and hosting the annual Halloween costume parade. What an amazing assortment of costumes this year … and so wonderful to have so many parents and little ones join us for the parade.
Mrs. London’s class created Remembrance Day artwork to display at a local business. Our banners can be viewed in the windows of St. John Advertising.

Shoeboxes for Operation Chirstmas Child are available now in the office. Please see the attached letter for more information. Collection week will be Nov 18 -24. Filled boxes can be dropped off at the office and will be collected from the school.
The Boys A Volleyball Game has been changed from Oct 31 to Oct 30. It is at Bert Ambrose versus Charlie Lake.
Mrs. Lee’s class participated in the BC Hydro Power Smart lessons and won a weekly prize. Students were very excited to see all the neat activities they sent.
We would like to extend a huge, heart felt THANK YOU to Vertical Slam Ultimate Challenge for their generous donation of $800.00 to our Breakfast program!

Rik Leaf joined the Bert Ambrose school community from October 7-11 for a week-long residency. Younger students participated in singing activities and older students wrote and performed Slam Poetry. Our week culminated with a morning Poetry Cafe and an afternoon assembly.
On Friday, October 18, Bert Ambrose students and staff celebrated reaching their goal of raising at least $3000 for the Terry Fox Run Foundation. Mrs. Kursteiner took a pie to the face and Ms. MacPherson stepped up and honoured her commitment to having her head shaved.
