Mrs. McKinnon's Chocolate Making!
Students in Mrs. McKinnon’s Grade 1 class were busy apprenticing as Easter Bunnies today. They created Easter Baskets and learned how to make home-made chocolates! What a yummy start to the week! Hopefully these little bunnies remember that Ms.
Lions in the House
On Wednesday, April 10th, we had the wonderful opportunity of hosting 3 members of the BC Lions football team through a program called “Lions In The House”. Antonio Johnson, Keon Lyn, and Will Watson visited with students in Mrs.
Science Fair 2019

Multi-age Learning
For those grade 3-6 students not going to Worsley, we had a great multi-age learning day. Starting the morning off, we created stories on iPads using the app “Toon Tastic”. In Math, we learned strategizing and practiced adding by playing “Farkle”.
Mrs. Tacey's Drum Making
Students in Mrs. Tacey’s Grade 2 class participated in a Traditional Drum Teaching session with our Aboriginal Student Support Worker, Ms. Green. She spoke to the students about the Aboriginal Drum with respect to how the drum is made with prepared hide and shared the different purposes Aboriginal drums are used for.
Barkerville Yoga Fundraising Event
Hello all. We are pleased to announce that we will be holding a Yoga fundraiser for the Grade 6 trip to Barkerville. This event will be held on March 2, 2019 from 1 pm to 2 pm at Bert Ambrose gym and is admission by donation.
Mrs. Lavoie's Keepsake Bags
On Friday, our class had an amazing opportunity to create keepsake bags with Mrs. McEachern. We learned that these traditional Aboriginal bags are used to store items that are important and unique to each individual. Each student was able to sew and decorate a leather keepsake bag.
Jump Rope Fun
Today we held our annual Jump Rope for Heart Challenge. Students in all grades participated in jumping activities in the gym. Thanks to Mrs. Barr and Mrs. London and the leadership classes for organizing and hosting this event!
