Bouldering Club

The Bert Ambrose Bouldering Club is an afterschool sports program geared towards developing participants’ rock climbing technique, strength, balance, and self-esteem.
Bouldering is a specific discipline within rock climbing that doesn’t use harnesses and ropes but relies on crash mats and relatively short climbing routes to ensure safety.

Bulletin Board

Mrs. Lee works one day per week as our Social-Emotional Learning Teacher. She recently completed an activity called “Flip That Flop” with our primary students. This activity was about dealing with failure and making mistakes. Classes watched the YouTube video (seen below) and then shared different mistakes they have made.

Music Videos

“Students were learning beat, rhythm and tempo as themes. They explored this through the use of ukulele’s and xylophones as well as had the chance to try the bongos, tambourines, maracas and rhythm sticks. We had some real stars and everyone had the chance to showcase their skills.

Tomatosphere

As part of a nationwide science experiment to determine the effects of extreme conditions on plant growth, students in Mrs. London’s class have been growing tomato plants this term. One set of seeds was exposed to extreme conditions when it traveled by spacecraft beyond the Kármán line (100 km above Earth’s surface).
